The segment that's sweeping the nation Whatcha Watching can be heard each and every night and I would like to take this time to discuss my current television addiction. To be honest I was originally skeptical about Mr. Robot and it solely had to do with the idea that USA could put out a brilliantly well written and produced show of this caliber. Mr. Robot follows Elliot Alderson ( Rami Malek) a programmer at a cyber - security agency. We find out within the opening scene of season one that Elliot if far more than just a computer programmer.

I am addicted to this show! The writing is one of the more creative aspects I've seen in a show in a long time in the way Elliot acknowledges the audience in his thoughts as an imaginary friend that he can confide in. We've seen this before particularly in House of Cards but the way this show acknowledges the audience while almost trying to make you feel uncomfortable for being a part of it is something that is remarkably original. The one criticism I've had so far after finishing season one was the twist of Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) actually being another personality in the psyche of Elliot and his ongoing battle with mental illness. The twist left something to be desired and was one of the most disappointing parts of the show to date but as I am diving into season two the show is doing a spectacular job of using this to make the character audience constantly question everything that is going on around Elliot and whether or not you can trust that it is actually true. It has been a while since I've been addicted to a show like Mr. Robot and I'm disappointed to know that I will soon finish season two and have to wait for season three to come out. I watch a lot of TV and I don't endorse a lot of shows but Mr. Robot is high on this list and I will be back soon to update you on my season two observations.

As always we do Watcha Watching every night at 8:45 where we discuss what you watch and what we're diving into!
