As we get ready for the 2017 All-Star Game, featuring Jason Vargas, Salvador Perez and Mike Moustakas, who the fans voted in, we take a look at previous All-Star Game appearances by Kansas City Royals.  And in the process, we were reminded of some details that get lost when talking about Bo Jackson's infamous home run in the 1989 Midsummer Classic.  Vin Scully was on the call, and President Ronald Reagan was his analyst.  And Wade Boggs followed Bo with a home run of his own.

Of course, Bo wasn't the only Royal to hit a home run in the All-Star Game.  Here are some others, including Frank White's roundtripper that won the game for the American League in 1986.  And of course, George Brett had one in 1984.
