Despite Recent Hiccups, Committee Still Likes the Jayhawks

While Kansas fans may be a little down on their Jayhawks after the road loss at Baylor which has them no longer in first place in the Big 12, the group that will decide the field of 68 still very much likes KU.   The D1 men's basketball committee which, like it or not, has the only opinion that counts on the matter.  Has KU as a 2 seed if the season ended today and their 6th ranked overall team in it's preview of Selection Sunday.

The Jayhawks are pegged at this moment for the West Regional in Los Angeles where the top seed is Purdue and the 3rd seed is old friend Roy Williams North Carolina.

The committee only released it's top 16, not the entire 68 team field as of today.  But in case you were wondering how officially you would put together a bracket, here's the NCAA criteria.
