Whit continues his consistency

Whit Merrifield continues as an incredible weapon for the Kansas City Royals.  Last year he started in Omaha and yet almost became the 3rd man in Kansas City Royals 50 year history to hit at least 20 home runs and steal 30 bases.  He would have joined Carlos Beltran who did it 3 times and Amos Otis who accomplished the feat once.  Whit came extremely close to it as hit hit 19 home runs and stole an American League leading 34 bases.  This year he is 4th in MLB in stolen bases and second in the American League to only Dee Gordon.

For the year he is slashing:  .299/.361/.437 With 12 stolen bases and 4 home runs.  But it's all about versatility as he has played 2 games in center field, 3 games in right field, 2 games at first base and 34 games at 2nd base.  He is also hitting an incredible .435 against lefties this year as well.
