NASCAR returns to Kansas Speedway

NASCAR cup series returns to Kansas Speedway Thursday July 23rd with the Kansas 400 (Was supposed to be in May).   July 25th-- Xfinity Series race , plus on July 24th and 25th several NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races and on July 24th and 25th ARCA Menards Series race.  The races are currently schedule without fans.

Five races to be run over three days across four different series


KANSAS CITY, KAN. – NASCAR will return to Kansas Speedway the weekend of July 23-25, it was announced today.  Over the course of the three days, NASCAR will run five races across four different series, highlighted by the NASCAR Cup Series Kansas 400 on Thursday, July 23 to commence the lineup of events.  The schedule will also consist of a NASCAR Xfinity Series race (July 25), a pair of NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series races (July 24 & 25) and an ARCA Menards Series race (July 24).

 All five races will be televised nationally, either on NBCSN or FS1.  The races will also air on MRN and its network of nationwide affiliates, in addition to Sirius XM NASCAR Channel 90.

 Currently, the races are scheduled to run without fans.  Kansas Speedway will continue to work closely with state and local officials to determine if it may be possible to have fans attend these events. As the situation evolves, further information on each race event will be communicated as it becomes available.

 “We are excited to be a part of NASCAR’s return to racing,” said Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren.   “This is an important first step in the resumption of sports to the Kansas City area, and we feel a deep sense of responsibility to play an integral role in that process.  The health and safety of our fans, teams, officials, and the entire NASCAR community are paramount.”

 The schedule for the weekend will consist of the following:

 Thursday, July 23: NASCAR Cup Series Kansas 400 (400 miles)                                       6:30 pm (NBCSN)

Friday, July 24: NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Kansas 200 (200 miles)               6:00 pm (FS1)

Friday, July 24: ARCA Menards Series Kansas 150 (150 miles)                                          9:00 pm (FS1)

Saturday, July 25: NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series Kansas 200 (200 miles)          12:30 pm (FS1)

Saturday, July 25: NASCAR Xfinity Series Kansas 250 (250 miles)                                    4:00 pm (NBCSN)

Kansas Speedway’s 2020 Spring NASCAR weekend was originally scheduled to be run May 30-31.
