2nd ranked Georgia beats Mizzou in Columbia

Tigers fall in conference opener to 2nd ranked Georgia

Mizzou falls to 2nd ranked Georgia 43-29 in Columbia and goes to 3-1 on the season.

-Bad breaks for Mizzou as Georgia scored on a fumble (probably should have been blown dead after forward progress)  but it counted and Georgia was out to an early 7-0 lead on Mizzou after the 64 yeard fumble return by Tyson Campbell.

-Mizzou responded with a 7 yard touchdown run by Larry Rountree III and made the score 7-7

-The first half woes continued for Mizzou as Eric Stokes scored on a blocked punt and made the score 20-7.  (Georgia previously added 2 field goals after Mizzou's TD)

                                -GEORGIA led at haltime 20-7:-

-In the second half Georgia got on the board first with a 33 yard touchdown from Jake Fromm to Riley Ridley making the score 27-7.

-Then Mizzou responded with a 5 yard td run by Damerea Crokett 27-14 Georgia.

-Georgia then responded quickly with a 61 yard touchdown pass from Jake Fromm to Jeremiah Holloman (2 point conversion failed) making the score 33-7 Georgia.

-Mizzou answered right back with a 3 yard touchdown run by freshman Tyler Bradie (2 point conversion was good)  33-22 Georgia.

-Georgia started off the 4th quarter with a 54 yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman.  Georgia up 40-22

-Quarterback Drew lock would rush for a an 11 yard TD in the 4th making the score 40-29

-Georgia would add a field goal making the score 42-29-and that was the Final Score:

DREW LOCK:  23/48 FOR 221 YARDS.  0 TD'S/1 INT

JAKE FROMM: 13/23 FOR 260 YARDS 3 TD'S/ 1 INT

GEORGIA:  43 (4-0)

MIZZOU:  29 (3-1)

BOX:

-This was Mizzou's 4th time playing Georgia in Columbia since they joined the SEC:  They are 0-4 against Georgia in Columbia and 1-2 at Georgia.

--Could Drew Lock be a top 5 pick in next years draft?

*-Mizzou's next game will be October 6th at South Carolina.
