Lucas Duda up with Royals, Brian Goodwin released
The Kansas City Royals who signed Lucas Duda to a minor league contract a few days ago have selected his contract from Omaha and have put Brian Goodwin on waivers. Duda was traded to the Braves last year and they Royals acquired Goodwin through a trade with the Nationals last year.

REQUEST RELEASE WAIVERS ON BRIAN GOODWIN
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 25, 2019) – The Kansas City Royals announced today that they’ve requested release waivers on outfielder Brian Goodwin and selected first baseman Lucas Duda from Omaha (AAA). Duda previously signed a minor league contract with the club on March 22.
Following today’s moves, the Royals have 34 players in Major League camp, which does not include right-handed pitcher Jesse Hahn (60-day IL), catcher Salvador Perez (60-day IL) and left-handed pitcher Eric Skoglund (restricted list). Of the 34 players remaining, 27 are on the Major League Reserve List.
