Season over for the Royals they finish 58-104

-The Kansas City Royals lose to the Cleveland Indians 2-1 Sunday afternoon.    The 2018 campain is over for the Royals.  This was a team 41 games under .500 at the All Star Break but finished strong at just 5 games under in the second half of the season.  The Royals finished the season strong at the K.  They went 5-0-2 in their last 7 home series to close out the year.  The end the year 58-104 and it was the 5th time in the 50 year history of the Royals that they lost 100 games. 

-OF NOTE:  Whit Merrifield extended his hitting streak to 20 games.  He is the MLB hit champion and stolen base champion.  

-Adalberto Mondesi really showcased himself after being called up.  In the last 30 games he finishes with 39 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 10 home runs, 15 stolen bases and 22 RBI.  He finshes 4th in the American League in stolen bases in only 75 games.

-OF NOTE:  Ned Yost signed another one year contract and will be back next season.  

-OF NOTE:  The Royals have still won 15 of their last 20 home games. and 20-14 in their last 33games.

-OF NOTE:  Sal Perez will have surgery on his thumb.
