Esky is now with the Orioles

He signed a minor league contract

Alcides Escobar who has played in the MLB for the last decade and with the Royals since 2011 has been signed by the Baltimore Orioles to a minor league contract and will compete for the starting shortstop position.  Escobar won a gold glove, a World Series and was an All Star with the Royals. He was also the ALCS MVP in 2015. He came to KC in the Zack Greinke trade.

-Esky was an iron man for the Royals as he played in 421 straight games before Ned sat him last July.  It was a franchise record and was the longest currently in MLB until it ended. is
