Wow!  To say that the Chiefs are playing good football right now would be an understatement.  They are winning games with all 3 phases of their team.  We know the offense has been unreal.  Special teams has contributed to a win and now the defense is getting in on the fun!  Sunday against Jacksonville they had their coming out party.  They showed they can be counted on to get stops, turnovers and to make plays when they need to make plays.  They showed a toughness we haven't seen all year long.  It was a real good performance and a confidence builder as the team heads to New England for a Sunday night Showdown!  As we digest the win over the Jags, its time to look at a few numbers that made that game and this 5 game winning streak so special.

175- That is the total number of points the Chiefs have scored this season.  Looking back to that 2003 team, they scored just 151 points thru the first 5 games of the season.  This team has outscored them by 24 points already!  We thought that 2003 team was an offensive juggernaut but this 2018 team will blow the doors off that team by the time the season is over.

300- Patrick Mahomes has thrown for over 300 yards in 4 consecutive games tying the Chiefs record with Bill Kenny and Trent Green.  Kenny did it back in 1983 when passing wasn't real popular in the NFL and Green did it in 2004.

20- Chris Jones rumbled 20 yards for a touchdown on Sunday but that was just the beginning of his day.  He also had his first sack of the season, a tackle for a loss, a qb hit and a deflected pass.  That is a full day at the office for a defensive lineman.

15- Travis Kelce now has 15 games in his career with 100 or more receiving yards.  He's tied for 5th all time with Dwayne Bowe.  Remember Dwanye?  5 more games over 100 yards will put him 2nd all time behind Tony Gonzalez who sits on top with 26.  Its a very attainable record for Kelce and as long as Patrick is the QB he should break this record next season.

0- Well, this no longer stands for the amount of INT's Mahomes has on the season, but it still represents the amount of losses for the Chiefs.  Unreal.  NO ONE had this team at 5-0.  I bet behind the scenes they were hoping 4-1 AT BEST.  This team has so far exceeded everyone's expectations and there is so much more season to go.  Strap in!
