Week 2 is in the books and the Chiefs are putting up some crazy offensive numbers.  Here are the 5 most important numbers to take away from Sunday's win at Pittsburgh

5.  That is how many stops the Chiefs defense recorded against Pittsburgh's offense on Sunday.  5 doesn't sound like a lot, but if the Chiefs defense can just come up with a few stops in every single game KC will be put in a position to win with Patrick Mahomes.  I will take a 5 stop afternoon every day of the week and TWICE on Sunday!

0.  I am going to throw this number out every single week.  Its the number of interceptions Mahomes had Sunday. Its also the total number of interceptions he has on the season.  I find it to be so impressive because everyone, yours truly included, thought he would have double digit interceptions in 2018.  He's now past the 1/8 of the season mark and has zero.  For a qb playing in his first full season that is more than impressive.  In fact no QB in NFL history has ever started a season with 10 TDs and 0 INTs.  We are witnessing history folks!

209.  After a week of combining for basically nothing, Sammy Watkins and Travis Kelce were the big winners on Sunday.  Together they had 209 yards receiving.  That is the beauty of this offense.  One week may be your day and the next week may not be your day.  Everyone will be invited to the party at some point.  Mahomes has done a great job during the first two weeks of taking what the defense gives him even if that means one of his big weapons has to suffer.

8.3 . That is the average gain per offensive play for the Chiefs during Week 2.  It doesn't take a math genuis to figure out that if they do that all game long they will never be in a situation where they have to punt.  Getting over 8 yards per play is pretty amazing when you think about it and if they can keep up that number all year it will be impossible to stop this team!

2.  The number of wins on the season.  The number of wins over potential play off teams.  The number of road wins.  The number of AFC wins.  The number of wins over Hall of Fame quarterbacks.  Yeah, this team is off to one amazing start.  Its not just the wins that matter, its the quality of wins.  The quality of wins the Chiefs have so far this season is truly awesome.  Here's to making that number 3 next week!
