Stop me if you heard this one before:  Alex Smith can't throw the deep ball.  Yeah, you have heard that one before, but in 2017 it is just not true.  In fact it's downright false.

That play to Tyreek Hill was just 1 of the 4 touchdown passes that traveled 20 or more yards on Sunday.  So what you say?  Well, here is a little background...

"He completed 5 of 9 passes for 217 yards and four touchdowns on throws of 20-plus yards, becoming the first quarterback with four scoring passes on throws that deep in a single game since at least 2006, when ESPN began tracking those stats."

That is pretty remarkable.  But we can take it one step further.  Per ESPN again:

"Through eight weeks, Alex Smith completed 17 of 30 passes for 717 yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions on passes traveling 20-plus yards past the line of scrimmage. He never had more than 10 completions for more than 269 yards and three scores on those throws through eight weeks in any season previously."

Travis Kelce knows that Alex has been a different QB this year and he is tired of hearing all the naysayers come at #11

Alex is going to have to continue playing like he did in New York over the final 4 games and HOPE the defense shows up.  They have been awful lately and with the Raiders and Chargers rolling into town we need big games from the defense to win the division.
